Matt July 5: Relaxing Day

Today we stayed at home. First we went swimming. After we went swimming we saw Ratatouille. Before the movie started the film stopped for five minutes. Soon they got the movie working. Ratatouille (rat-a-towee) is a movie about a rat and a man named Linguini. The rat’s name is Remy and he likes to cook, but Remy is a rat. Even if Remy is a rat, that doesn’t stop him. Somehow Remy found a way to cook by pulling Lingunini’s hair making him pick up and put down things. After the movie we went to aunt June’s house for dinner. Aunt June made a special pasta dish. Soon it was time to leave and we drove to the campsite.

Renee July 5: Saying Goodbye to Roxy

We took Roxy to the airport today as she is flying home to go back to work. We are sorry to see her go, but we have had a fun visit with her and we were glad she could join us for the time that she was here. Bryce is staying here with us and will go home with Grandma and Grandpa later in the week.

We decided another relaxing day was in order so we checked the movie schedule and opted to go see Ratatouille, the latest Disney flick released about a rat living in Paris that has a culinary gift. Rather interesting premise and was a nice change from all the more recent attempts Disney has made lately. It was a good choice for the age range we had: 5 to 11, though it was a little too long for the younger ages as evidenced by the fidgitiness level around 1 1/4 hours into it.

We went again to June’s for dinner, she tells us she just loves to cook for others and doesn’t get to do it often enough. Sounds a little crazy to me, but who am I to argue, it’s one less night of cooking for me!

Leah July 5: Ratatolle

Today we didn’t do a whole lot. We took Roxy to the airport. Then we saw Ratatouille the movie. After that we went to June’s house.

Before we took Roxy to the airport we had breakfast at a restraint called Elmer’s. Their fresh strawberries are the best. After breakfast Papa, and mom took Roxy to the airport. After that we took it easy. We did nothing until about 4.

We got ready at 4 to see the movies Ratatouille (ratatooee). The movie was 2 hours long. A little long for a kids movie, don’t you think? I’m not going to tell you any thing about the movie in case there are kids out there waiting to see it.

Here's a picture of my lizard I bought in Seaside.
After we finished the movie we drove to June's for dinner. Dinner as spaggettii and beans. After dinner we had vanilla ice cream with strawberries. It was so good! After dinner and dessert we went back to the motorhome. We made up the beds and went to sleep.
